Get comfortable as we have quite a few new movie trailers to check out today, including a few horror stories that might make you shriek, and a few pictures based on true stories. Yes, before you ask, there is one horror movie in our list that’s actually based on real-life events.

A United Kingdom

The true story of a highly controversial marriage between a king and a woman of a different color. A United Kingdom stars Rosamund Pike, David Oyelowo, and opens November 26th.

Better Off Single

It’s clear from the title of this comedy what Better Off Single is about. It’s a comedy about relationships, dating, and sex. The movie launches October 7th.

Blair Witch

Yes, we already know that Blair Witch is getting a reboot, not that we thought it needed one. Still, the international trailer is out. But turn on the lights before you watch it. The movie is out September 16th.

Jack Goes Home

Jack’s dad dies in a car accident, so he decides to go home to look after his recovering mother. That’s where things take a twist for the, you guessed it, horror. The movie opens on October 14th.

Kidnap

You’ve seen Netflix’s Stranger Things, so Kidnap will sound pretty familiar. We’ve got a mom that will stop at nothing to find her kidnaped kid. But strange things won’t happen in this one. Halle Barry is the mom, and the movie comes out December 2nd.

La La Land

Here’s one more teaser for the La La Land musical, a movie we’ve talked about in the past. We’ve got Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling, and J.K. Simmons doing the singing.

Lion

Imagine being a 5-year-old kid who gets lost from his family in India, and then gets adopted by an Australian family. It’ll take you 25 years to try to figure out your way back home, to your original family. What do you do? Lion launches on November 25th, and it’s based on a true story.

My Blind Brother

Things will go wrong when two brothers fall for the same girl. And one of them is blind. Literally. Adam Scott and Nick Kroll play the brothers, and Jenny Slate is the girl. My Blind Brother comes out on September 23rd.

The Disappointments Room

If you can’t already tell by that strange title, The Disappointments Room is going to be a freaky movie. Who wants such a room in their home? Based on true events, the horror comes out September 9th. The kicker? Prison Break‘s Wentworth Miller wrote the screenplay for this one.

Planetarium

Sisters who can connect with ghosts meet a French movie maker in Paris. Yes, this is a French film starring Natalie Portman, and yes, it might be a little scary. Planetarium opens on November 16th in France.

Priceless

Inspired by true events, Priceless tell the story of a man who discovers he’s hauling cross country in the cargo truck he’s driving. And he’ll want to do the right thing. Priceless is out on October 14th.

Rings

The Ring

is one of the scariest movies I’ve ever seen. I’m sort of curious about Rings, but then again, can it be more frightening than the first one? Rings opens on October 28th.

Sully

Based on real events, Sully is one of the must-see movies of the year. Not only because the story is amazing itself. But because Tom Hanks. And Clint Eastwood.

The Late Bloomer

A man discovers that a brain tumor blocked his puberty from ever taking off. But once it’s removed, puberty strikes, and it all happens over a three-week period. The Late Bloomer launches on October 7th.
