Released a few weeks ago, the Galaxy S7 was lauded in reviews, which concluded the phone is Samsung’s best Android handset to date, and one of the best smartphones of the year – if not the best. We noted in our newly published review that the HTC 10 certainly gives Samsung’s flagships a run for their money, but a new report now says that the Galaxy S7 has already been named the best phone in various European markets, including the U.K., France, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands.

British site Which gave the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge top scores in its tests, Business Korea reports, which helped the two devices secure the top two positions in the outlet’s rankings.
“The score of 93 achieved by the Galaxy S7 is the highest ratings ever,” Which said. “The model was picked as the best smartphone due to its features such as design, camera, battery, SD memory card slot, and water and dust resistance.” Coming in second place, the Galaxy S7 edge scored 92 in the same tests.
France’s Que Choisir, Spain’s OCU-Compra Maestra, Belgium’s Test Aankoop and the Netherlands’ Consumentenbon chose the Galaxy S7 edge as the best smartphone in their tests as well.
These European rankings are on par with Consumer Reports’ recent smartphone rankings update. The two Galaxy S7 models topped its rankings with 80 and 79 scores. Not only has the Galaxy S7 duo been praised in a variety of reviews, but the phones are a hit with consumers too, outselling their predecessors by quite a big margin.
