The release of Pokemon Go last week was far more than your average iOS and Android app release. On the contrary, Pokemon Go has turned into a full-fledged mobile and cultural phenomenon the likes of which we have never seen.
Over the past few days, millions of users have been walking an endless number of miles in search of Pokemon. And of course, along the way, some ridiculous and crazy Pokemon stories have emerged over the last few days, with a Pokemon-searching teenager stumbling across a dead body being just one example.

Naturally, some believe that the entire incident was staged, but who are we to judge? After all, the level of obsession with Pokemon is on a level the likes of which the mobile world has never seen before. Truth be told, iconic titles like Angry Birds and the one hit wonder that was Flappy Bird can’t even hold a candle to the level of popularity Pokeman Go currently enjoys.
Having said that, if there was ever a game capable of engendering the type of obliviousness to one’s surroundings that would result in a professional news anchor walking across the screen during the middle of a broadcast, it’d be Pokeman Go.
