Apple will unveil its newest software innovations next month at WWDC 2016, where iOS 10 and Mac OS 10.12 are surely going to be unveiled. Outside of keynotes, Apple is tight-lipped when it comes to the future of its mobile and desktop platforms, and leaks have only offered us minor details about what’s in store for this year’s updates. While waiting for Apple to unveil iOS 10, we found an interesting iOS 10 concept that offers new features such as lockscreen widgets and new gestures.

iPhone-tricks
came up with an iOS 10 version that’s very similar to iOS 9 in terms of overall looks. However, there are various neat tricks under the hood, including lockscreen widget support, an evolution of 3D Touch functionality, new multitasking UI, and a dark mode.

Widgets on the lockscreen would let you tap on the clock to manage alarms or on the weather details to get a better look at today’s weather, all without unlocking the handset to go inside the respective apps.

You would also be able to customize the colors of incoming notifications, so you can immediately tell them apart. You’ll know which notifications need your attention at a glance.

Finally, the video below imagines a new swipe down gesture that could be used to bring up certain menu items or app features for each app, as well as force-closing all open apps. 3D Touch isn’t mentioned, but the proposed new gesture could benefit from the pressure-sensing tech in the iPhone.

The video also imagines a couple of interesting UI changes, including a dark mode, and a new multitasking screen – see them in the full video:
