Details surrounding another unannounced Nokia smartphone have reportedly been revealed following the leak of a screenshot from French carrier Orange’s internal system. Perhaps one of several smartphones set to be unveiled later this month at Nokia World 2011, the Nokia Sun appears to be a high-end smartphone with a build similar to the newly-released Nokia N9. Spec highlights according to the screenshot obtained by French blog My Windows Phone include Windows Phone 7.5 Mango, a 1.4GHz processor, a 3.7-inch touchscreen display, 16GB of storage, an 8-megapixel camera and a unibody polycarbonate case. According to the leak, the Nokia Sun will launch in France some time during the week of November 7th.

Nokia should have chosen DROID OS instead of windows. Most market share because of BOGOS,free phones, and market saturation is an obvious win for manufactures.

Android is buggy as hell, Windows has been around alot longer than android and why would nokia degrade there value on built quality on a piece of junk android OS??? Windows 7 is more clean and is more responsive than android in most cases , name one junky windows 7 phone ??? because you cannot

Just root your DROID. Youve prolly never have used a DROID. The Galaxy Nexus coming to Verizon isnt laggy at all. It’s better than the iPhone.

As owner of an HTC Thunderbolt, I shouldn’t HAVE to root my phone to make it decent. It’s garbage with the regular software on it, which is Froyo. How many months now has the upgrade been “just around the corner”? I hate only having 4g service at work or I would have ditched android right away, but oh well…guess i’m stuck with it.

Root as much as you’d like… wouldn’t even have beaten an EnergyROM 6.5 with HD2:) My Mozart (WP7) beat the living crap out of the Galaxy2 (or whatever the “best” one is called). Funny to open up a youtube-page and then play the video… I had the galaxy beaten by 15 seconds. Would’ve just loved to compare it with a rooted droid.

Of course you can’t name any junky Windows 7 phones because there are none. Windows 7 is a desktop OS. The phone OS is Windows Phone 7/7.5.

Furthermore, no, Windows Phone 7 has not been around longer than Android. WP7 came out November 2010. Android came out September 2008. Last time I checked, 2008 came before 2010. And no, Windows Mobile is not the same thing as Windows Phone.

Pretty sure the first DROID came out in fall of 2009 to Verizon and it changed the mobile OS game. Up until then it was the HORROD iOS, symbian, blackberry and windows mobile 6.5 OS. Verizon and DROID have only been beating apple since 2009 but it seems like forever now. Gotta love freedom and choice!

Unibody polycarbonate makes iPhone look like crap.

Wonder why a French carrier provides dimensions on a Finnish phone in English measurements…not metric?

This is obviously just what we’ve known so far as “Sea Ray”, which may have been a code name for the phone or perhaps it will have different names in different markets.

The polycarbonate unibody is just the cadaver from the Nokia N9.

This phone sounds awesome except for one thing…the screen is rather small…
