Before I decided to go pink for the iPhone 6s last year, I was the proud owner of a Space Gray iPhone 6, a color option that’s a good-looking alternative to black in a world where black is one of the default color options for every new smartphone. This year, some reports claim that Apple is going to introduce at least one new color for the iPhone 7, with black and blue being among the possibilities. Some rumors even claim that the Space Gray option will be replaced by either black or blue. But I still think Space Gray is a hot color for the iPhone 7, and more and more image leaks seem to indicate the color is still in the cards for the upcoming new iPhones set to launch in just two months.

DON’T MISS: Leaked photo shows the iPhone 7 we all want but aren’t going to get

Photos obtained by TechTeastic and @OnLeaks (sourced from Weibo) show what appears to be the Space Gray version of the iPhone 7. The iPhone 7 signature marks are all there: there’s no headphone jack, the phone has dual speakers flanking the Lightning port, the rear camera appears to be bigger than the one on preceding models, and the antennas have just one line each, running alongside the top and bottom edges. One other new iPhone 7 feature that’s not shown in the pictures is the rumored new home button design.

The iPhone 7 still looks almost like an iPhone 6s clone, although the design features above will help you tell it apart from last year’s iOS smartphones. That said, we’re likely looking at an iPhone 7 prototype here that’s nowhere near being functional at this time.

My colleague thinks Apple should go back to black with the new iPhones after seeing this photo of a black iPhone 7, but I think Space Gray is still a better option. You be the judge — the new leaked photos are embedded below.
