It’s a new year, which means we have plenty of new trailers to look at this week. Studios released brand new clips for some of the hottest upcoming movies out there, which is great, considering that the final week of December only brought us just one new trailer for the upcoming Alien movie.

Alien: Covenant

Alien: Covenant

is scheduled for May 19th, starring Michael Fassbender as a brand new droid. Yes, it’ll be scary, just like any other movie that involves these human-eating creatures — just watch the first clip:

All Nighter

Yes, we want to see J.K. Simmons play a bad-ass dad who’s looking to find out what’s going on with his daughter even if that means spending all night with her ex, played by Emile Hirsch. No, it’s not like Taken. Okay, maybe it is a bit like Taken, but a lot lighter on the action.

Beauty and the Beast

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast movie will probably be one of the biggest movies of the year, and we’ve got a brand new TV spot for you. The film opens on March 17th, and we expect to rule the box office during its first weekend.

Cars 3

We saw the first trailer for Cars 3 a few weeks ago, but it was way too cryptic. And way darker than we would have expected. If you think the second one will be a lot more revealing, then you’re wrong. It does tell us there’s a new car in town (Jackson Storm), but that’s pretty much everything there is to it.

Cult of Chucky

Did we really need a new Chucky movie? Apparently, we do, and Cult of Chucky brings back the human-murdering creepy doll that might still hunt your nightmares. Cult of Chucky is coming real soon, and I spotted at least one creepy doll in the following trailer.

Leap!

Formerly known as Ballerina, Leap! is an animation launching in early March that tells the story of an orphan girl looking to become a ballerina in Paris. And we have a new trailer for it:

Fifty Shades Darker

Don’t act like you forgot, Fifty Shades Darker is happening this year. The second episode in the series stars the same Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, who have various unfinished business. Including sexual ones. The movie will hit theaters on February 10th. And it’ll probably be as good or bad as the first one — it’s up to you entirely.

Rings

Is Rings a sequel? Is it a remake? It’s not clear, but the premise is the same: a video will kill you in seven days after you’ve seen it. The new Rings horror flick stars Vincent D’Onofrio, Johny Galecki, and Laura Wiggins, and opens on February 3rd.

The Founder

The McDonald’s story that you might not be aware of is coming to theaters soon. Spoiler, The Founder is a tale about being in the right place at the right time, even if that means having to practically steal a billion dollar business from their rightful owners.

The Space Between Us

The first human to be born on Mars, because he wouldn’t survive life on Earth otherwise, is tired with the red planet and wants to come home. The Space Between Us adventure hits theaters on February 3rd.
