- Amazon recently announced that due to the novel coronavirus epidemic, it will stop restocking and shipping nonessential products until early April in order to make as much room as possible in its warehouses for medical supplies and other essentials.
- The retailer will continue to sell off remaining inventory, but it appears as though stock of popular items is already starting to dwindle.
- New deals are starting to become particularly unimpressive, but there are still some deep discounts on best-selling items that shoppers can take advantage of before they sell out.

In light of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, Amazon announced a massive change to its typical plans earlier this week. The online retail giant said that it would soon stop restocking and shipping nonessential products in order to free up as much capacity as possible for essentials like medical supplies, cleaners, and disinfectants. It’s unclear exactly when nonessential shipments will cease, but once they do, they won’t start back up again until April 5th. That’s only two weeks away, but it’ll be a long two weeks if there are things you need that you can’t get your hands on without leaving the house. Everyone is being advised to stay indoors and self-quarantine as much as possible so that we might at least slow the rate of new COVID-19 infections.
While we don’t know exactly when shipments will stop, it seems quite apparent that it’s going to happen soon. What makes us say that? Well, Amazon offers a bunch of new “Gold Box” deals each day that offer especially deep discounts on popular products. These are typically some of the best and most exciting deals on Amazon’s site each day… but on Friday there’s only one Gold Box deal and it’s on shampoo. Yeah, that’s not terribly exciting, and it’s likely a sign that the retailer is getting ready to make that shift.
With all that in mind, we wanted to give our readers what could potentially be your last chance to save big on some of Amazon’s most popular products until the company starts up nonessential shipments again in early April. First, we’ll start with five fantastic deals that are only available to Prime members — and if you’re not a Prime member, you can score these deals by signing up for a free 30-day trial of
Beginning with the most popular deal we covered this week, the $40 Fire TV Stick is on sale for just $22.99 for Prime subscribers. That’s within $3 of its lowest price ever, and it’s the lowest price we have ever seen outside of Black Friday and Prime Day.
If you want to step things up a bit, pick up the $120 Fire TV Cube instead at its lowest price ever, just $89.99. This awesome device is basically a Fire TV Stick 4K combined with an Echo Dot, so you can stream all your favorite movies and shows — plus you get hands-free Alexa.
The last three Prime-exclusive deals we’ll tell you about are on some of Amazon-owned Ring’s hottest products. The $250 Ring Video Doorbell Pro is down to just $189 for Prime subscribers, the $200 Ring Spotlight Cam is $159, and the Ring Alarm 5-Piece Kit is on sale for $149 instead of $200.
There are a few more killer Prime-only deals available today and you can check them all out in our earlier coverage. Before you do that, however, we need to cover five more deals that are available to everyone and we’re going to start with a killer Instant Pot sale that slashes prices on three different best-selling devices.
The Instant Pot Duo 60 retails for $100 and it’s the company’s top-selling model of all time — right now, it’s on sale for just $79. Then, if you already have that model or any 6-quart Instant Pot, you can add the $140 Instant Pot Air Fryer Lid for just $79.95, an all-time low. Finally, there’s a killer deal on an Instant Pot product you probably didn’t even know about; the $240 Instant Vortex Plus 7-in-1 Air Fryer, Toaster Oven, and Rotisserie Oven is down to just $107.50 today.
Next up, we have a killer deal for anyone who wants to be sure to keep their home clean while they’re cooped up inside for the next few weeks. The Dyson-killing Bissell ICONpet Cordless Stick Vacuum that normally sells for $350 is on sale right now for just $199.
The earlier Fire TV Stick deal we told you about earlier is only available to Prime subscribers, but there’s another deal that anyone can take advantage of. Certified Refurbished Fire TV Stick 4K units are in stock right now, which is definitely rare, and they’ll save you a few bucks compared to the new model.
You’re going to be spending a whole lot of time trapped inside with your family for the next few weeks, and there will definitely be times when you want to block them out. TaoTronics TT-BH047 Active Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones are a fantastic way to do that, and they’re on sale right now for just $24.99 instead of $50 if you use the coupon code L5G769UL at checkout.
Last but not least… okay fine, Amazon’s one-day deal on shampoo that we joked about earlier is actually a pretty terrific value. Definitely take advantage before this deal disappears at the end of the day on friday.
