Now that the MTV Movie Awards have ended and CinemaCon is in full swing, it’s safe to say that movies were a trending topic this week, especially upcoming releases. And what better way to celebrate these cinematic events than enjoying a few hot new movie trailers. We’ve got new clips for Suicide Squad, Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, and many others.

A Monster Calls

When Liam Neeson voices a tree in a movie, you absolutely have to keep tabs on that picture. A Monster Calls opens October 14th and tells the story of a boy who has to cope with the fatal illness of his mother. Felicity Jones and Sigourney Weaver join Neeson for this one.

Almost Christmas

Is it too early to talk about Christmas in April? Well, Almost Christmas isn’t about that. It’s about a family’s first Thanksgiving get-together since their mother died. Danny Glover is joined by Kimberly Elise, Omar Epps, and many others for this picture, launching in theaters on November 11th.

Captain America: Civil War

Released during MTV Movie Awards, this new clip shows us the kind of action that’s expected from the Captain and his team.

Doctor Strange

This is the first trailer for Doctor Strange, a major character in the Marvel cinematic universe. The movie comes out this November, so check out the first clip below to learn more details about this new superhero.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Warner Bros. has a brand new Harry Potter-themed movie for us this year, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The action is set at the beginning of the 19th century in New York’s secret society of wizardry. This is the story of writer Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), whose book Harry reads while in school.

For the Love of Spock

We usually ignore documentaries in our weekly trailer roundups, but this one is an exception. For the Love of Spock chronicles Leonard Nimoy’s portrayal of Spock, one of the most popular Star Trek characters of all time.

Godzilla Resurgence

Yes, there’s a new Godzilla in the making, but this one comes straight from Japan, where it launches on July 29th.

Our Kind of Traitor

Coming out July 1st, Our Kind of Traitor looks like a promising spy movie. We’ve got the Russian Mafia and the British Secret Service at play, with Ewan McGregor, Damian Lewis, Stellan Skarsgard, Naomie Harris starring.

Suicide Squad

The best anti-heroes DC Comics have to offer are recruited into a special governmental team to save humanity when there are no other options. A new clip aired during this year’s MTV Movie Awards shows us both the creepy and fun side of these unusually deranged heroes.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows

There’s a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hitting cinemas this year, and a second trailer is out to tell us how these mutants are created. And, apparently, the turtles want to become humans by reversing that process.

The Neon Demon

The Neon Demon, starring Keanu Reeves and Elle Fanning, is a new horror movie hitting cinemas this June. The trailer is decidedly spooky, even more so because it’s somehow related to the modern concept of beauty, and the film looks like something you should be keeping tabs on.

The Secret Life of Pets

The people who made the Minions movie are now imagining what our pets do when we’re not at home. The third trailer for The Secret Life of Pets is out and it’s hilarious. July can’t come soon enough.
