More information on upcoming iPod touch, Nano leaked?

According to an iLounge source, the upcoming fourth generation iPod touch will be changing shapes once again. If true, it is said to be more flat than curved, with a flat surface and curved edges; much like the top of your MacBook Pro. Additionally, the back is rumored to not be modeled after the iPhone 4′s all glass surface; so we’re guessing stainless steel or aluminum. There is that much-awaited rear camera, though what’s not clear at this point is a LED flash next to it or a second microphone for audio capture while shooting video. Lastly, that tiny, tiny Apple-branded touch screen display we saw? Well, according to iLounge, it is indeed a new iPod nano, and won’t have anything to do with an iPod shuffle. September 1st is close enough, friends.

        First I want to point out you are the one who brought Google up. And now that you mention it, I can say HELL YES. Google is a much more innovative company than Apple. Do you know how many research projects Google has? Just Google it (see what I did there?)

        Wow, you are seriously deluded dude. Google is more innovative than Apple? They haven’t “innovated” since they invented the search algorithm. If you did what you’re advising others to do and looked it up, you would see that almost all their projects since then are copies of stuff already happening elsewhere.

        Android is the perfect example for one. Buzz is another. And they are both *bad* copies of previous work. At least Apple gets it right when they copy an idea. ;)

        Really? Buzz is the only example you could come up with? Well “dude” maybe if you take your information from something other than macrumors.com you would know what your talking about. I am not saying, Google is a good company or that Apple is a bad one, and I am not saying either one is better than the other, I use products from both companies. As you said yourself Apple is really good at copying ideas from others but not innovating.

    Not too interested in the ipod refresh, although I know that’s what Wednesday next week is all about. I would just like to hear a date on the white iPhone (with a possible antenna fix) or I’ll wait and hope for a VZW LTE iPhone next year.

        It was never an Issue until apple came along I have an IPH4 in one hand, and my blackberry 9700 in the other..hmm 2 bars on iphone. full 5 bars on blackberry…Crazy ;)

    I am use iPod Nano 3rd Gen and I like it.. I can’t wait the new one….

      its 3 times smaller than the fatty so you wont be used to it and you cant use it. 1.7 inches is the size of the clickwheel on the nano 5g

    R. Mutt- you sure about that? Unlike Google, we see very few Apple projects publically but they don’t show anything until they go to release (except for the underwhelming iWork.com).
