OLPC delayed due to manufacturing issues

It looks like anyone that was eagerly awaiting the arrival of their “$100” laptop might have to wait just a little bit longer. Due to unnamed “manufacturing issues” the bare bones computers have been delayed yet again. There have apparently been problems at the company’s contract Chinese manufacturing site, and “last minute bugs” have created a production backup that will have an impact on the company’s ability to deliver the computers in a timely fashion. Originally scheduled for delivery beginning November 12th, the company is now saying that the first laptops won’t be available for public consumption until December. We kind of want one too…
