After hitting Verizon and Sprint in previous weeks, the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Galaxy S5 is slowly coming to more and more users in the U.S., with T-Mobile being the latest carrier to begin rolling out the new software.
As SamMobile reports, T-Mobile on Wednesday started rolling out the Lollipop update for its version of the Galaxy S5. The software has a build number G900TUVU1DOB1, and it is available as an automatic over-the-air (OTA) or manual (via Samsung Kies) download.
Users looking to force the OTA update on their devices should go to Settings, then About phone and then Software update.
In addition to Material Design, Google’s brand new design for Android, T-Mobile Galaxy S5 owners will also get to experience a variety of other new features — many of them are demoed in the video below. In a recent article, GSM Arena has taken a look at one specific Galaxy S5 improvement that comes with the official Android 5.0 update, and that’s a significant battery boost offered by Google’s latest operating system.
