T-Mobile’s chief executive John Legere is known to be bold and boisterous, and it looks like he has no plans to quiet down in 2014 — provided Sprint’s potential upcoming bid to acquire T-Mobile doesn’t sideline the CEO’s big plans for the new year. In 2013, Legere sought to shake up the wireless industry in the United States, and fans and critics can both likely agree he did just that. T-Mobile’s various “Uncarrier” initiatives set the company’s chief rivals AT&T and Verizon Wireless scrambling to catch up despite each being more than twice as large as T-Mobile in terms of subscriber count. Now that 2013 is behind us and Legere has managed to make T-Mobile the most important carrier in America, he has another resolution for 2014: “Transform the wireless industry.”

In a post from its Twitter account earlier this week, T-Mobile shared a photo of Legere’s handwritten resolutions for 2013 and 2014. With his resolutions from last year all taken care of, the T-Mobile executive is setting his sights even higher this year. Titled “Transform the wireless industry,” Legere included five bullet points on his list of resolutions:

  • Continue to remove customer pain points
  • 4G LTE – go faster, go LOUD
  • Un-shackle the family from those other guys
  • Make waves at CES 2014
  • Give AT&T a break… or not

While there aren’t any specifics on his list, it’s clear that T-Mobile has no intention of resting on its laurels in 2014 — and according to a recent report, the carrier’s first move of the year will be to cover early termination fees for subscribers who switch to T-Mobile from another service provider.

Oh and by the way… it looks like Legere still has his rivals scrambling in 2014. While T-Mobile’s next Uncarrier move is just a rumor for the time being, AT&T has already responded by offering T-Mobile subscribers up to $450 per line to switch to AT&T.
