The Cubs turned the tables in Game 2, knocking Indians starting pitcher Trevor Bauer out of the game in the fourth inning after collecting two runs on six hits. The Indians bullpen couldn’t stop the bleeding, as the Cubs managed to add on three more runs in the fifth. But Jake Arrieta was the story of the game.
After surrendering four runs to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS on October 18th, Arrieta looked like himself again on Wednesday night, pitching a no-hitter into the sixth inning, striking out six and giving up a single run in the process. If not for a few walks on deep counts, he might have gone even further.
In Game 3, Cubs starter Kyle Hendricks (16-8) and Indians starter Josh Tomlin (13-9) will square off, each looking to give their club a chance to take the lead.
