Last December, Sony kicked off its first annual PlayStation Experience event, giving fans an opportunity to explore a show floor similar to E3 without needing press credentials to get in. It was a big enough success that the company decided to hold a second PSX in 2015, this time moving from Las Vegas to San Francisco.

If you weren’t keeping up over the weekend, you missed several huge announcements, but don’t worry — we’ve rounded up all of the biggest news from the event below.
After unveiling a new trailer for Uncharted 4 at the outset of the keynote (which you can see above), Sony moved straight to the project that has RPG fans freaking out: Final Fantasy VII Remake. We got a glimpse at the completely overhauled Square Enix game at E3 2015, but Sony finally had some gameplay to show off at PSX:
As you can see, there appear to be some significant changes to the classic RPG beyond a graphical upgrade. The combat system appears to be more along the lines of modern action RPGs and the voice acting has been updated as well. Speaking with Dengeki Online, FFVII director Yoshinori Kitase seemed to confirm that the game will be split into multiple parts as well, potentially launching as a series of episodes rather than a single release.
The Final Fantasy VII Remake was certainly a highlight of the event, but PlayStation VR took center stage for a significant portion of the the nearly two-hour-long keynote address. Several new VR games were announced on stage, including Rez Infinite, Ace Combat 7, Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin and 100ft Robot Golf (which is exactly what it sounds like). With all the game trailers and announcements, the following bit of news didn’t make many waves, but Sony also announced over the weekend that it would be offering a new $100 yearly subscription to its PlayStation Now service for a limited time. Although the service is still relatively limited in terms of the amount of content it offers, this is a significant discount from the standard $19.99 per month subscription cost.
