Many of us are ecstatic to see 2016 come to a close, but the end of a month means a new selection of content is being removed from Netflix. Thankfully, the list isn’t especially long for January 2017, but there are definitely a few gems on there you’re going to want to get to before they disappear for good.
You have less than a week left to watch these movies, but considering it’s the week after Christmas, there’s a good chance you have some free time to sit down in front of the computer or the TV and waste a few hours.
These are our picks for the ten best movies departing Netflix streaming on January 1st:
- Crash
- Dazed and Confused
- Ghost Town
- Maid in Manhattan
- Miracle on 34th Street
- South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut
- The Italian Job
- Sixteen Candles
- Saving Private Ryan
- The Fast and the Furious
Often times, it can be hard to any worthwhile inclusions for this list (hence the occasional absence of the list from our monthly slate of articles), but this month, it was genuinely hard to pick just ten.
Not only did we have to leave off another fast, furious movie (Tokyo Drift), but we also couldn’t make room for some of the fantastic 30 for 30 documentaries that are being taken off of Netflix at the beginning of the year. Honestly, it’s worth going through the whole list we shared earlier this month.
Don’t forget to check out all of the new movies and TV shows being added to Netflix in January.
