Well, gamers, we have good news and bad news for you today. The bad news is that if you want a Super NES Classic console before Christmas, you’re going to have to pay extra. The good news, however, is that prices have fallen considerably and the hot retro console is selling for way less than the original NES Classic Edition was ahead of the holidays last year.
There’s almost no way you’re going to find a Super NES Classic system in stores at this point, so Amazon is now your only hope. Want one in time for the holidays? Here’s what you need to do: go to the Super NES Classic Edition page on Amazon and click the button labeled “See All Buying Options.” Then click the check box next to “Prime” in the left-hand column. You’ll be shown a list of sellers that have the Super NES Classic Edition available with Prime shipping. Check the seller to ensure that it has a good rating — never buy from a store labeled “Just Launched” — and you’ll see in the “Delivery” column whether or not it’s actually in stock.
At the time of this writing, there were at least half a dozen stores with prices under $135 and free two-day Prime shipping, so you should have no problem whatsoever getting your hands on a Super NES Classic before Christmas.
Here are some key details from the product page:
