Whether the hot new iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus is the first iOS device you’ve ever owned or you’re a longtime iPhone users going on 10 years now, you don’t know all there is to know about Apple’s mobile software. There are so many features packed into iOS 10, and now iOS 10.1, that it’s literally impossible to know about all of them. Seriously, I have spoken to people in the past who actually work at Apple and have still learned things from our coverage of lesser-known iPhone and iPad features that are hidden in iOS.

Speaking of hidden features, we’ve got a fresh new batch for you and they’re going to change the way to do several familiar things on your iPhone.

We have covered dozens of cool secret iOS 10 features on the site ever since Apple first released the software this past September. In fact, we’ve been sharing cool iOS 10 tips and tricks since the very first beta was released back in June. People have spent plenty of time with Apple’s latest mobile software by now so they’re plenty familiar with it, but trust me, there’s still plenty you don’t know.

With that, we turn your attention to a “mega thread” that was recently started on Reddit in an effort to collect everyone’s favorite iOS 10 tips and tricks in one spot. There were almost 100 replies at the time of this writing, and the thread will likely fill out even more by the time all is said and done. Even as it stands now, there are already some great tips in there.

Here’s a small sampling:

  • In the Messages app, double-tap on any message instead of long-tapping to quickly add a “tapback” reaction
  • Tap and hold the compose icon in the Mail app to access your drafts
  • 3D Touch (press firmly and hold) on any folder that contains apps with unread notifications and you’ll get a Quick Menu that shows you which apps have notifications — then tap any app for quick access
  • Use third-party keyboards on the lock screen by touching (not pressing) the home button to unlock the phone before you 3D Touch on a notification to reply
  • Long-press the + icon in Safari for a list of your recently closed tabs

There are more tips in there and probably even more to come. Check out the full Reddit thread, and don’t be afraid to post your own if you have some good ones that haven’t been covered.
