IFA doesn’t officially begin until September 2nd, but Acer is kicking things off early with a live stream press conference early in the morning on August 31st. If you want to tune in, just be sure to point your browser to this post at 4AM ET.

As for what exactly Acer has in store for the event, we weren’t given any clues other than the invite, which appears to show an exceptionally thin laptop. This being an Acer event, computers will likely take center stage, but those won’t be the only devices to see the spotlight on Wednesday morning.

Along with an ultra-thin laptop, we also might see the rumored high-end gaming smartwatch that has been floated in various recent reports. What exactly a “gaming smartwatch” would look like remains a mystery, but it was really only a matter of time until someone tried to gamify the watch market.

That probably won’t be the only wearable Acer has at the show either — other rumors suggest that Acer will bring a fitness band to IFA, but once again, details are sparse, so we’ll have to wait until the stream starts to find out.

Finally, as PCMag notes, Acer revealed a partnership with game developer Starbreeze back in May to bring the StarVR headset to market, so there’s a chance we’ll see the HMD and possibly some game demos at the event.
