HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm has been in a weird sort of purgatory for years now. Though the show never officially ended — nor was it cancelled — the last time we saw a new episode from Larry David and co. was back in 2011. Since then, David has been rather coy about whether or not the show has a future. And of course, with each passing year, many fans of the show began to begrudgingly accept the fact that the show would probably never return to air.
Not to worry Curb fans, we have some pretty good news to share. In fact, you might even say its pretty, pretty, pretty good news.

It turns out that David’s recent stints as Bernie Sanders on Saturday Night Live may have whet his appetite for performing. During an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show this week, J.B. Smoove — who plays the character of Leon Black on the show — said that David is thinking about returning to write and shoot a new and 9th season of the award-winning show.
I called Larry, like, two weeks ago and I said, ‘Hey, Larry man.’ I just talk about regular stuff with him. It’s not always Curb stuff. But this time – aha! This time, he brings up Curb Your Enthusiasm. I don’t ever bring it up. He brought it up this time.
“If Larry does not say no,” Smoove added, “there’s a possibility he’s going to say yes.”
