Do you remember how there were hints from Google that Google Play Music was going to get an entire Material Design revamp? Not only was it true, but Google has updated Play Music with a new “Listen Now” page that may help it become a legitimate rival to Spotify.

The new Listen Now page — thanks to Google’s recent acquisition of Songza — will allow anyone using the feature on their device to stream curated playlists that match up to their activities based on what time of the day it is. If you’re lifting heavy weights at the gym, you may want a hard rock playlist. If you want some relaxing music before bed, you can choose something softer.

The page also includes cards that promote new music and stations that you haven’t discovered yet based on your interests.

“With more than 30 million songs to choose from on Google Play, it can be hard to figure out what to listen to.” says Google in its blog post. “Sometimes you want to build your own mix to rock out with your friends, and sometimes you want to sit back, press play and hear something completely new. Whether you’re at work or on vacation, we’ll find you the best music station to make the experience better.”

The new redesign is available today for download in all 45 Play Music countries. So go ahead and download it at the Google Play and App Store today.
