Facebook’s Home overlay certainly hasn’t been met with an overwhelmingly positive response so far, and now the company is letting users know that it’s okay to shut it off for a little bit if they find it annoying. In a post on its Facebook Mobile page, Facebook says that “if you need some alone time, simply turn off Home and use your phone as usual” with whatever version of Android you have installed on your device. In the comments under its main post, Facebook points to a step-by-step-guide that explains exactly how to disable Home or uninstall it completely. Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg last week admitted there were several flaws with Facebook Home that the company is working to address but emphasized that Facebook is committed to sticking with the service and making it work better with users’ Android devices.
