Microsoft: Zune is not dead… yet

mobile

Dead or alive? Reports surfaced on Monday suggesting that Microsoft had pulled the plug on its Zune media player, but those were quickly written off as a mistake. On Tuesday, Microsoft did pull the plug and and said in an official death certificate that Windows Phone would be the “focus of [its] video and music strategy moving forward.” However, as of Wednesday, Microsoft’s support team suggests the statements published yesterday were in error as well, and the original statements have since been pulled. “We are still supporting the Zune HD hardware,” Microsoft posted on Twitter. “No official info has been released stating hardware is being discontinued.” Official information was posted, however, and it is likely that this is just a case of one arm not talking to the other.

You’re a PENDEJO. For saying that. Yes, google it up to know what it means.

That was pretty low. But I guess if the world is going to have people who accomplish incredible things in their lives, we need to balance it out with douchebags such as yourself.

Schmegma would be a compliment for you.

You shouldn’t be quite so kind in your reference to benmarvin. He is barely human and being a pendejo requires you be human.

      What a classless moron.

I wish they would just release a software update for the Zune HD and make it into a WP7 PMP

So typical of Microsoft. One department does know what the other department is doing. Protocol? not followed. Zune is dead or should be…once the second department is made aware.

  • WP7

ZUNE HD they should convert this into a phone, that would be sweet!

    • Applesucksfatties

      Kinda like Apple did?  :-)

      • Michale11111

Is Applesucksfatties actually paying Apple a compliment?

I’m sure the “one arm” not hearing about Zune getting discontinued is that one executive-type that said “hey wait a minute guys, don’t we still have some of these sitting in a warehouse we need to sell? OMG YOU GUYS WE STILL SUPPORT THIS, PLS FINISH BUYING OUT OUR ST- er I mean making a wise, informed purchase.”

Um, no. It’s dead. Really. Time to move on.

  • Sonya

    Yes it is.

  • SuzieQ

The zune us. Good device. Microsoft should not Discontiune it yet.

Zune HD was and is still one of the if not the best PMP out there. The reason it never took off was because the lack of marketing around it. Believe it or not, the zune software as well runs circles around the iEquivalent…literally night and day difference.

While I don’t use it as often as I used to anymore (shorter commute)  anytime I do use it I get someone asking me what player it is and where can they get one because it looks amazing.

  • PlayZune

    I love my Zune

  • Michale11111

Wake up Microsoft. Zune has been dead for a long time.

The Zune will live forever next to the Kin in some landfill in a 3rd world country like Kentucky or Iowa.

The Zune was dead a long time ago. But Microsoft never told it to lie down. Finally they’re going to put a stake in it’s heard and just end it. Good riddance!

I have a Zune HD, 32GB, and it is a great PMP.  It is a shame it did not get all the support like the iPod, ie..docks, stereo sync cables, car radio adapters, etc.  Microsoft had a good one with this, but at least it lives on in WP7
