Microsoft: Windows Phone Mango rolling out ‘in next week or two’

mobile

Microsoft general manager Eric Hautala wrote a blog post on Microsoft’s official Windows Team Blog on Wednesday in which he confirmed the Windows Phone Mango update will begin rolling out to devices “in the next week or two.” Hautala said Microsoft has been making solid progress on the update and advised any Windows Phone users not to install unofficial or leaked copies of Mango. “During the official Windows Phone 7.5 update process, every Windows Phone will also receive software from the handset manufacturer,” Hautala explained. “This matched and paired firmware has been painstakingly tuned so your phone—and apps—work with all the new features of Windows Phone 7.5.” HTC recently unveiled the Titan and Radar, two of the first Windows Phone Mango devices, and we are expecting fresh phones from Samsung, LG and Nokia in the coming months, too.

Doesn’t matter.  Ice Cream Sandwich, the grestest version of DROID OS, will be out in the winter and will literally change everything, again.  Freedom and open source FTW!

Let’s hope Ice Cream Sandwich is the first version of Android that doesn’t feel like Beta software.

You will be waiting on that HOPE coming from Google

        Get six pack Abs

I’m busy and can’t spend 60 minutes a day with exercises.
Truth About Six Pack Abs does not require this.
30-45 minutes workouts 2-3 times a week should do the trick

        go here : HERE

Don’t forget the shitty battery life with the pending patent lawsuits against that fragmented ass OS

        My sgs2 has excellent battery.

Ok then, 1 phone out of how many on the market?

      • Mark Francis

But what happens once you turn on the phone.

Seriously? The 1st thing people bring up is battery life. I didn’t buy a Supercharged Range Rover because I wanted good gas mileage, I bought it because it was big, beautiful, super fast & met my needs & that’s the same reason I got a SGS2…its big, beautiful, super fast & does what I need it to do. Just like with my Range, I make sure I’m able to refuel when I need to & keep it moving!!!!

freedom and open source is all BS. Nothing is free from the world’s biggest spyware company.

And somewhere in the world the 3-4 people who actually like windows phones embrace each other while the rest of us enjoy iphones and androids.

And right above me, you see the troll, in its natural habitat

    • Dude

It feels nice walking around having the same phone as everyone else, doesn’t it?

      • Yoyo

Guess that feeling isn’t as good as the feeling of having a phone that nobody wants right?

How do you press control, alt & delete on these phones?

    • Anonymous

You don’t. But I can tell you how to force close an Android.

Perfectly timed to partially catch up with iOS 4 and immediately be steamrolled by iOS 5. It’s almost like they let Apple plan their release cycle for them.

didn’t they say that ‘about a week or two’ ago?

I think people are tired of hearing that the WP update is not yet released and there is no firm date for this again.  If they have not already purchased a WP phone, they will not do so now as the hardware and display are 6-8 years old technology and the WP phones are not user friendly (no user memory card slot for consumers as a starting point).  Legacy hardware does not sell well to consumers these days, just to enterprises.  As long as items are still tied to a desktop, it is not mobile.

Wp7 is the biggest flop ever. Even Samsung BADA outsells wp7…..
