Facebook updates iOS client, allows you to ax friends directly from iDevice

Software

Earlier today, Facebook released an update to its iOS client bearing version number 3.4. The new bits add a map view to Places check-ins, an improved News Feed, and a more intuitive Notification dashboard. Version 3.4 also allows users to unfriend stalkers, former significant others, or anyone else directly from their iPhone or iPod touch. The update is available immediately in the App Store, enjoy.

    when will we be able to “like” comments from the damn iPhone app? lmao

    • Jpr5135

      You can?

      • Anonymous

        @Jpr5135:
        No you can’t. If you want to like comments you have to use the mobile web version.

        from the IPhone if you tap the plus symbol next to a status update it gives you option to like and comment

        @WildStyl3838:
        Apparently my phone didn’t properly update the app because I wasn’t able to like comments. Reinstalled and it works now. Hurray!

      update it with the ability to tag people in photos! HOW IS THIS NOT POSSIBLE!?!!?!?!?!?!

      • Joel

        Facebook doesn’t wanna deal with fragmentation, they are lazy. It’s easier with the iPhone version.

      Yes, Android is “ruiling” the smartphone market. Facebook just ignores Android to piss off users.

      Oh, wait! I got it. Android users don’t have any friends, making friend/unfriend options superfluous to the Android app.

      How the hell do you get “ruiling” when you know (you do, don’t you?!) the base is spelled “rule”? I mean, if you spelled it “ruleing” it wouldn’t be all that bad…at least it makes some sense. But “ruiling”? Really? These message boards make me laugh and cringe at the same time…

    who cares about the android people.
    everyone knows that even though iphone has less of an installed base than every android phone out there……iphone is the best phone out and we get everything 1st hahahahaha

    only thing i want from android is google navigation.

    keep that fragmented crap and ‘playing catch up’ OS.
    even when you root the phone, your phone is still laggy.

    i HAD an evo for 9 months and sold it for an iphone 4, best decision i made in the last 6 months :)
