Sony Ericsson details Xperia Arc’s photographic prowess [video]

mobile

Sony Ericsson has gone through the trouble of creating a three minute thirty second video that showcases just what makes the 8 megapixel shooter on the Xperia Arc function at such a high level. SE details several improved features, such as an enhanced Sony sensor and f/2.4 aperture, that make the Arc’s camera ideal for indoor and low-light conditions. The camera has dozens of configurable options and, as an added bonus, the video was shot in 720p using a second Arc handset. Hit the jump, the video is waiting for you.

when was last time Sony made a good Android phone? All the Xperia’s look good but suck bigtime, no offense but that’s my opinion

Coming soon, actual date will be 2012, and released with Android 1.6, not upgradeable;)

Looks awesome but the Atrix has the edge i think

battery life is something which everyone will watching closely on Atrix, it will be make or break of decision for many

Until you realize that the Atrix is an ATT exclusive device, at least for the foreseeable future. And the 2GB data cap that ATT has on their smartphone plans takes away any advantage the Atrix might have with all its dock-wizardry.

That is one badass looking device. Blows away any Android I’ve seen yet. I hear the newMotorola Atrium is going to be a real cat’s pajamas. Looks like the bust out year for Android, suck on that fan boy apple lovers

SE has some of the best looking hardware. That looks like it could be one bad ass device. Must keep my eye opened for that one. Wonder what the specs are on that?

Man this is going to make still cameras and video cameras obsolete. Sony make a great compact camera and if they am apply this to their phones they will be on a winner

sony makes the best phones imo, my sony x10 is amazing and this new arc looks ever better, bunny how commenters have never had an x10 saying how bad it sucks. the x10 is fast, the rachael ui is smooth and eye catching, when rooted with 2.1 you can do pretty much everything any other android phone can do, and it looks sexy as hell.

It’s good to see Sony trying very hard after 95 percent profit dip couple of years ago. Hope they survive

The X10 has a pretty good camera , but this arc, the interface changes (such as on screen instead of hitting hardware buttons, led flash as opposed to LED, the speedy auto-focusing, the sensor, etc.) very welcomed changes. The arc looks very promising all around..though I must say I don’t know why a front-facing video camera was not included on this model (perhaps there are other higher speced Xperia’s coming out?) . Looking forward to this.
