T-Mobile Galaxy Tab: Microsoft Windows 7, 10-inch screen, 1.66GHz CPU?

Tablets

And here we thought all Galaxy Tabs were created equal… While Verizon Wireless, AT&T and Sprint customers will be fiddling with wimpy 7-inch Android-powered tablets from Samsung, T-Mobile subscribers apparently have a beast of a slate to look forward to next month. Here are some notable specs according to T-Mobile’s website:

  • Microsoft Windows 7 Starter Edition
  • 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor
  • Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150
  • 10.1-inch 1024 x 600-pixel glossy WSVGA display
  • 1GB DDR2 RAM
  • 160GB 5400RPM hard drive
  • Microsoft Works 9, McAfee Security Center, Adobe Acrobat Reader 9

Now that, people, is how you build a tablet! Hit the jump for the full specs according to T-Mobile’s little oopsie.

UPDATE: T-Mobile pulled the page.

Thanks, Manny

I’ve always wanted a 10 inch screen on my tablet that is less than 9″ diagonal

I thought it was just me who noticed that the math didn’t add up. See, I knew I’d be able to use Geometry one day eventually.

Who is zach epstein? Because he’s one gullible mfer. 900ma battery and 160gb 5400 rpm hard drive? In a tablet? And you believe this? Are you retarded?

Um…that would be why the posting is file under “humor,” tagged with “mistake,” and the author referred to the listing as “T-Mobile’s little oopsie.”

Considering the pictures shows Android and the descriptions says W7. You don’t have to read the article to see this is a load of shiza.

Yeah I kind of think your readers are bang on calling this a huge typo an not being caught before posting.

It was a mistake. Those specs belong to the dell notebook T-Mobile offers. Looks like someone’s job is on the line.

The site is fixed now… 1GHz Processor now… Makes you wonder what they were reading…

As others have pointed out, this is most likely a mistake. This sounds more like a netbook than a Tablet (especially with a 5400 rpm SATA HDD).

Seriously? Some of you think the author is fail? its tagged as mistake, and filed under humor. Get over yourselves, it was funny, thanks Zach

  • Shawn

Looks like the description is talking about a net book. There is no such thing as a galaxy tab with a hdd that spins at any rate of speed. Let alone 5400.

Don’t hold your breathe, this typo on tmobiles website will be fixed shortly.

Pretty simple mistake, they put the specs of a netbook under the Tab.
