Literally moments after announcing the June 20th launch of the HTC Aria, AT&T announced an addition to its messaging, feature-phone lineup with the Pantech Ease. The Ease has a 3.2″ touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard, 7.2 Mb/s HSPA connectivity, and 2 megapixel camera. The phone is billed as one for “simplicity seekers,” and AT&T boasts: “The handset can also be switched from Easy mode to Advanced mode for a more traditional quick messaging user experience with a quick settings change. Customers of all types may enjoy the Easy mode, especially seniors.” Watch out Jitterbug! The Ease will be available on June 20th and will retail for $69.99 on contract after a mail-in rebate.

    The Jitterbug is so overpriced and it doesn’t even have half of the features this has. I understand it aims for a more simple experience, but with a simple experience should come a simple price. Go Pantech!

    At&t is the new Verizon….tons of crap phones.

      They aren’t crap phones. They are simply aimed for less tech-savvy and data-needy people.

        If you had a choice between Samsung, LG or Pantech all at the same price range. Would you go for Pantech? WTF is Pantech? I bet some nobody have heard of Samsung or LG from bestbuy.

        Pantech != Panasonic

    I wonder why isnt there such a thing as a high end feature phone =/ They have high end and low end smart phones, so why not do the same for feature phones? Im not dumb enough to think they are gunna put a snapdragon in it or put some crazy OS on it…but why not make a feature phone with a touch screen thats actually responsive, an OS thats bearable to use…why do they make feature phones for old ppl, or ppl who dont know how to use a phone? Why not make one for the ppl that want a nice phone but dont need a smartphone?

    I work at an AT&T store and for all the people saying crap about pantech, ur stupid. We sell a ton of the couple phones they have out and people love them. They are much more reliable then some samsung and LG phones out there…just because its not an android or iphone doesn’t mean its a shitty phone so grow up

    I didn’t even realize Pantech was still in the phone business. But seriously, I can’t wait for that Starcom smartphone to come out next month!

    Pantech make cheap crappy phones. i used to have the matrix duo green. didn’t like the cramp keyboard couldn’t set up mp3 id ring tone play back not featured in the phone. So I will stay away from ALL PANTECH. They should of at least get a phone like the LG Cosmo or the ENV cause those phones are better quality hardware. AT&T just keep getting crappy cheap hard ware which is I’m not going to upgrade to this or any until they come out with a good phone that I can use.

    This is similar to the Samsung Impression
    But i like this thou

    Used to have a Samsung impression, and that was a great phone except it wasn’t reliable for anything! Constant glitches made it easy to dislike, and the best thing about that phone was the camera (which was actully really great). However, i’ve had the pantech ease for little more than a month with hardly any glitches, which is great! No phone is perfect, but this ones up there for its great gps, quick textin, and great games’ Wouldnt trade it for an iphone, they’re batteries go way down quick, especially if you want to use it for the good stuff XD
