South Korea won’t be the only nation to get its hands on the Milestone XT720, as Motorola has just announced that the camera-centric Android device is headed to Europe. Running Android 2.1 with the addition of MOTOBLUR, the XT720′s main selling point is its 8 megapixel camera (which can shoot 720p video at 24fps) coupled with Xenon flash. But that’s not to say the XT720 is short-changed elsewhere. It’s loaded up with a 3.7″ WVGA display, FM radio, Bluetooth,Wi-Fi b/g, GPS, 10.2Mbps HSDPA, 512MB ROM / 256MB RAM, 550MHz Cortex A8 processor, and a 1390 mAh battery capable of up to 4.5 of talktime over 3G. The XT720 should start to hit European shelves next month, although carriers have not yet been announced. Click on through to check out a promo video.

Figures, after I smuggle a XT701 (the 5mp brother to the 720) from China… and struggle with the English/Chinese keyboard, they announce this, ugh.

Seriously…a 1390 maH battery? Why can’t these damn manfacuters just save the end user some time and money and put damn +/- 1700maH slim line extended batteries in there like Seidio makes for the Incredible??

D&D player? thinking of a bag of holding or something?

Other wise, it’s kind of hard to get more capacity out of a lesser space normally.

256 Mb Ram!! I got Nexus one with 512 Mb and I think the weakest link in Android is the lack of bigger internal storage. In my Nexus one I got to look out for storage space when I install new apps. Iphone users don’t have to worry about it. That is the only envy I have for Iphone. I don’t want to root my 530+tax phone to install App2sd. I got Froyo App2sd and none of the dev are coming with that feature yet.

This will be at Verizon in 2011.

Probably the best looking thing Motorola made since the RAZR made it’s debut, but there’s one problem…. it’s still made by Motorola.

I’m pretty excited about this release. Way more than any stupid new iphone. I really enjoy my Cliq XT and Motoblur. Much better than my G1 and stock Android. I really like what Motorola has done with Android vs leaving it stock, and that makes it my 2nd favorite UI after webOS.

I liked the idea of a Motoroi with full on Motoblur for Tmobile. But at this point I’m like 11 months from an early upgrade with Tmo anyways so it doesn’t matter. :)
