Boost Mobile slashes price on 'UNLTD by Boost' plan, now $50

General

Good news for Boost Mobile customers as the carrier has just matched its $50 unlimited iDEN plan pricing for CDMA customers. Starting today, customers on an UNLTD $50 Unlimited Talk, $60 Unlimited Talk & Text or $70 Unlimited Talk, Text & Web plans will automatically be switched to the new $50 per month plan which offers unlimited nationwide talk, text and web in the 13 states where Boost’s CDMA service is available (Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas). Customers on any lower-priced Boost Mobile plan can stay at their current price point. Boost has also removed the home calling areas, allowing subscribers to make calls anywhere on Sprint’s CDMA network without incurring a roaming fee. No roaming fees and $50 for all-you-can-eat minutes, text messages and web — what more could you ask for?

Looks like increasing losses for Sprint.

What more could you ask for?

Add BlackBerry to the line-up and watch VZW, TMO, and ATT go out of business!

Boost Mobile has CDMA service? I thought they were strictly iDEN, like Nextel–hence their lineup of iDEN phones…??

What more could you ask for?

StraightTalk has it all for $45, much greater coverage, Verizon network.

if they get some good phones ie (blackberry’s, android devices) I’m pretty sure many people will be switching over

Jeremiah, I think they can use the hybrid devices as well in the mentioned states. I could be wrong though…

Round the end of last year Boost came out with CDMA phones that worked off Sprint towers only. Then stopped making the phones this year, then start the unlimited program for $50 that worked off the Nextel towers like Boost have used in the past. My 2 cents.

This will probably be for the existing CDMA Boost subs since there are no more being offered

Not sure how the hybrid phone thing works but I think that Sprint is doing some dumb planning and offering too tempting of Pre-paid service! Come on, VM is offering something like this too? Is Sprint trying to get out of the post paid wireless biz? I don’t know why they’d offer a plan better than their post paid plans… Look at VZW, they’re prepaid makes people bleed from both wrists! Sprint is so damn confusing…

    Old news.
I’ve been on the $50 unlt Boost CDMA plan for over 2 months now.
It’s kinda hit-n-miss getting a Sprint phone activated on Boost but it is possible.
Couple of videos on You Tube about it.
