Sony Ericsson Idou pops up in silver

General

It’s not every day we can get excited about a Sony Ericsson handset in this day and age, so we cherish every opportunity. Really. Of course ultra-high end isn’t a space the company should be focusing on if it hopes to get things back on track, but it’s great for us so no complaints. The latest round of rumors puts the Symbian-powered Sony Ericsson Idou on sale in October and now that we have a nice clear set of images showing off the silver build, Halloween can’t come soon enough. It’s a sex bomb. Massive 3.5-inch touchscreen, 12.1 megapixel camera with Xenon flash, brushed metal lens guard… It would likely become the most desirable Symbian handset on the market the instant it dropped. Hit the jump for some more shots and try not to drool on your keyboard.

Would love to buy it only if it comes with AWS.

How large is the file of a 12 megapixel camera? Is it easy to send in MMS or Bluetooth? How many mega pixels is enough? Nice looking apparatus none the less.

IT doesn’t really matter how large of a file a 12MP picture is, because there’s built in software to automatically resize it when you want to send it as an MMS

omg why do they do this to us i want one!

  • Orga

That’s a sexy beast but, out of curiosity… is there any phone in that camera? Can we get a look at the software?

    JBL ftw!

what size image SENSOR does it have? If its still the 6mm sensor used in most point and shoots, it will look as bad or worse than every other camera phone. Too bad.. I used to like SE.

With cell phone cameras it’s more about the optics than the mega-pixel count. Still, 12.1 MP is impressive. Looks like a beauty of a mobile and I can’t wait to fondle one here in the States.

What carrier will have this phone? at&t, Verizon, T-Mobile?????

  • Bhumika

Would like to know who is going to be the carrier of this fabulous camera/phone in the USA?
