HTC Fuze makes its way to Best Buy (online only?)

Retail

Hey folks, it looks like the HTC Fuze, which was release just last week, is making its way to Best Buy. If for some reason you prefer buying your phones through the mega-electronics-retailer, the Windows Mobile phone will be arriving shortly. Oddly, it’s not coming on Black Friday but December 7, to be exact. We’re not quite sure, but the last time a Best Buy stock screen said “Not Carried by Loc”, it meant that it was going to be available online only. Unfortunately, we don’t know what pricing will be like but don’t expect it to be any cheaper than what you can find at AT&T, and since the screen is showing it as the “AT&T HTC Fuze” don’t expect it to be unlocked, either. Still, if the AT&T site or corporate stores weren’t enough channels for getting this awesome new phone out, there is now another source for getting your hands on AT&T’s latest and greatest.

[Thanks, Nixon!]

Just a note, I ordered a Fuze from walmarts cell phone online service (letstalk). It has been shipped and should be in my hand no later then Tuesday.

    Thanks,
    Tom

    1) Not carried By Loc = the particular store that took the photo will not carry it. If it’s a small store, or in a part of the US that they are not going to release it, then it shows that
    2) That system is rarely right, all it shows is that best buy will carry it, but dates are rarely right
    3) If you want the fuze w/o data, it’ll probably cost less at Best Buy, as the mail-in rebate requires data to get the final price at an AT&T Store

I got one from At&t on Nov 11th. LOVE it! Replaced my old work horse Tilt.
Couple of tweaks to touchflo, and to keep the [H] icon on 24/7 and it’s perfect. From what I’ve read on xda-developers, at&t must have “locked” the HSDPA out…maybe too many iPhones
slowing down their network? It you want to tweak it, DEFINITELY head over to xda-developers!

I switched from Verizon to AT&T and got the Fuze on the Walmart’s LetsTalk for FREE!!! Can’t beat that!! Way Way Better than $300.00 through AT&T!!

Hey BG – I looked up several of the phones you’ve featured (Fuze, Bold, Sprint Touch Pro) recently and they are all WAY cheaper for new and upgrade activations on the Walmart site! How about featuring them instead of BB? Like Tom noted, they have the latest phones faster (and cheaper) than anyone else I’ve found on the net!

Hey there, I posted before and I forget to mention that my fuze from walmart was free as well. The are even offering a xbox 360 free with some phones. Key is you have to sign a two year contract on a new line or be able to upgrade all of you lines on a family plan.

Where can we find xda-developers and what is the benefit to visiting them?

I went and checked out the fuze and felt the operating system was difficult. Fuze has the features but isn’t as easy to use as the iphone or blackberrys. So what is the smartphone to get iphone? Bold? Storm..or Curve 8900 (if it only had 3G)?

i’ve had my fuze since Nov 14.. which is like five days i guess.. but its really awesome.
after some tweeking of the youtube app to the internet tab of touch flo 3D its even cooler and the video resolution is great.

i see all these posts of tweaking the software, how hard is this to do. Is it manipulated through the phone itself, or through a pc-to-handset connection. I’ve poked around on xda-developers but haven’t figured out how to do it.
