BGR Radio: Episode 3 with Just Blaze

Opinions

We’re back with another episode of BGR Radio! This time we link up with fellow tech-fiend Just Blaze at Baseline Studios in New York. We did this around 3AM on Thursday morning, so forgive us if we’re not 100% on the ball. Well, what do we cover in this episode? Everything! We hit on the BlackBerry KickStart, a new exclusive look at a new RIM BlackBerry, Logic and Pro Tools, T-Mobile’s new Sidekicks and 3G network, and a whole lot else! Listen to it below on BGR, or subscribe to it in iTunes. Part two will be up here shortly.

The $199 iPhone rumor is interesting… we shall see if it happens and under what circumstances.

BGR…the subsidy is how AT&T/Apple will sell the iPhone for $199. The iPod Touch price won’t move. MAYBE when they get rid of the 8GB, they can drop the price on the 16GB and 32GB into the current 8 and 16GB slots. They won’t drop the iPod Touch to $199. No way. The iPhone will sell at $399 without the subsidy.

If Apple rolls out the 3G iPhone with the subsidy for $199, I’m buying it. I have the Curve through work and I love it, but a 3G iPhone would be NUTS. AT&T lit the 3G candle in Pittsburgh and the iPhone would pull me in. I’d drop $50-60 a month for that.

Hearing you two just shoot the shit about gadgets was fun. It was endearing to hear you completing each other’s sentences.

    All in all, fantastic stuff.

Which software is Just talking about in part two – He mentions MAUDIO but than another firm that I can’t find. On the MAUDIO website I can’t find any somewhere nor a clip that represents what he talks about….. I desperately want this software!

@AJ: I wouldn’t expect 3G iPhone for $199, but yes it would be nice. I would expect regular iPhone 16GB for $199 and a 3G iPhone with 16GB for $299 or more. They may change the name from iPhone to iPhone Pro or MacPhone or some such like they do with the iBook vs MacBook lines (considering they are changing the housing of the unit as well this kinda fits in line with that marketing scheme).
