- Apple rolled out iOS 14 beta 8 and iPadOS 14 beta 8 for developers on Wednesday.
- Now that public betas are rolling out as well, everyone with an iOS or iPadOS device can try out the new software and all of the features that Apple is adding this fall.
- iOS 14 is a massive update packed with hundreds of new features that you can read about right here — some highlights include home screen widgets, new Compact UI features, an App Library with all of your installed apps, and the redesigned Messages app.
After announcing a new digital event for September 15th, Apple’s busy week continues with the rollout of the eighth iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 betas. This is the third week in a row that we’ve seen a new iOS 14 beta, with iOS 14 beta 6 dropping on August 25th and iOS 14 beta 7 arriving on September 3rd.
Apple is not expected to announce the new iPhone 12 until October, which means we’ll probably have to wait at least another month before iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 launch to the public. If that’s the case, there could be at least one or two more betas before everyone can get their hands on the new software.
More information about the latest iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 beta releases will be published on Apple’s website shortly. A quick glance makes it look like bug fixes and improvements are the focus of this beta.
