Samsung’s Galaxy S7 edge is arguably the best smartphone in the world right now… at least, for another couple of weeks. Then the phone Android fans have been waiting all year for will finally be unveiled, as Samsung confirmed last week. The Galaxy Note 7 is expected to be one of the most impressive smartphones we’ve ever seen, with specs that reportedly include next-generation Snapdragon or Exynos processors depending on the regions, 6GB of RAM and a large Super AMOLED display with 2K resolution and a curved edges on both sides.
We’ve seen photos of the upcoming new phone leak on a few separate occasions at this point, and now the Note 7 has seemingly been captured on video for the first time.

It’s difficult to believe that just a few short years ago, Samsung’s flagship smartphones felt like cheap plastic toys. The displays were always best-in-class, but the case materials were nowhere close to being on par with phones from rival companies like Apple and HTC. It seems like a lifetime ago at this point.
Now it’s a completely different story. Samsung’s more modern flagship phones are constructed entirely of premium metal and glass. They feel great, they look even better, and the best of the bunch is yet to come. That’s right, the Galaxy Note 7 is shaping up to be the Android phone to beat in 2016 — both in terms of design and performance.
According to a string of leaks from reliable sources, Samsung’s upcoming new Galaxy Note 7 will feature a 5.7-unch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, a minimum of 64GB of storage plus microSD support up to 2TB, a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, IP68 dust and water resistance, and an iris scanner in addition to the fingerprint scanner in the home button. We can also expect an Exynos 8893 processor or a Snapdragon 821 processor depending on region, and both models will come equipped with a whopping 6GB of RAM.
