The internet is every where these days: On your PC, your phone, your TV and perhaps even your watch. Email, social networking, and internet browsing are part of our daily lives, both at work and at home.
But are you really spending your time online in the most efficient way possible? To help you out, we’ve picked out some new software updates that will make navigating your internet life easier than ever before.
Gmail’s Inbox saves everything
Google’s Inbox by Gmail received a brand new update that lets you keep everything you need right inside Inbox. In addition to managing email, Inbox now lets you keep track of events, newsletters, and links. You can take advantage of these new Inbox features inside the iPhone or Android apps, or use the Inbox by Gmail Chrome extension on the web.

Facebook Messenger is the new Skype
Facebook Messenger added a brand new feature that will let it compete against Skype better than before. The text-and-voice chat app now supports group calling for up to 50 people. If you’ve already used Messenger’s phone call feature, you’ll be happy to know that calling a group of people is similar: Just tap the phone icon and then select the people you want to talk to. The feature will be available both on iPhone and Android.

Opera’s got the right idea about private browsing
Opera might not be the most popular browser out there, but the company has come up with a unique feature that other browsers don’t have. Opera wants to improve the way we surf the internet by adding a built-in VPN service that should do an even better job at protecting our privacy than a simple incognito mode. Not to mention that it can help unlock some services that might be restricted in your area. The best part about is that Opera’s VPN is free and unlimited. Of course, you can add free and unlimited VPN browsing to your Chrome browsing experience – here’s how to do it.
