Snapchat isn’t just for sexting anymore… it’s also for throwing up rainbows. Joking aside, Snapchat has become a force to be reckoned with in the massive mobile messaging market, used by people young and old to chat with friends and follow their favorite celebrities. The app has gotten more and more complex and feature rich as time has moved on, but did you know there are special new features that only some people have access to?

If you’re a Snapchat user with an Android phone, you’ll definitely want to check this out.

The Snapchat app has become so complicated in recent months that some people can’t even figure out how to use it. But you’re not “some people,” you’re a Snapchat master and you want all the features you can get your hands on. Well, we have good news: There’s an easy way to gain access to Snapchat’s special beta program if you’re an Android user, and you’ll get your hands on some new features long before they reach the public.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Open the Snapchat app on your Android phone and swipe down to open the menu screen
  2. Tap the settings icon in the top-right corner
  3. Scroll down until you see Advanced, then tap on Snapchat Beta
  4. Tap “Count me in!” to confirm

From there, you’ll need to follow some instructions that involve joining the beta’s Google group and then opting in, but it doesn’t take long at all and it’s worth it if you want to check out new stuff before anyone else.
