$1.6 Billion Powerball Winning Numbers

The Powerball frenzy has come to a halt now that the winning numbers are known – that’s 08 27 34 04 19 and Powerball 10, in case you were wondering – and three lucky winners are probably still not done celebrating.

DON’T MISS: How much of the $1.5 billion Powerball jackpot you actually get to take home

According to Reuters, the record $1.6 billion U.S. Powerball jackpot will be split between ticket holders in Tennessee, California and Florida. Each winner is worth a staggering $528.8 million before taxes. That might not sound as impressive as winning the entire $1.6 billion, the largest-ever lottery prize in North America, but it’s still massive.

The identities of the winners have not been divulged yet, as it’s not clear whether anyone has come forward to claim the winnings.

One ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Chino Hills, California though the other two locations where winning tickets were purchased is not known. Each store that sells a winning ticket gets a $1 million bonus prize.

The ticket-buying frenzy was expected to have reached $1.3 million per minute on Wednesday, according to the executive director of the Texas lottery, Gary Greif. The odds of picking the correct combination were 1 in 292 million.

For each $1 spent on Powerball sales, half goes to prizes, 40% to causes and 10% to retailers. The jackpot would have rolled over to an estimated $2 billion with a cash value of $1.24 billion in case nobody would have won on Wednesday.
