The new X-Files series will premiere on Sunday, January 24th, 2016, at 10:00 p.m. ET, following the NFC championship game, Fox revealed. The second episode will air on January 25th at 8:00 p.m. ET, which will be the regular time slot for the series.

“The thrilling, six-episode event series, helmed by creator/executive producer Chris Carter and starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, marks the momentous return of the Emmy- and Golden Globe Award-winning pop culture phenomenon, which remains one of the longest-running sci-fi series in network television history,” Fox said in its announcement.

The plot of this short X-Files series has not yet been revealed, but at least fans know when to expect its arrival.

Chris Smith started writing about gadgets as a hobby, and before he knew it he was sharing his views on tech stuff with readers around the world. Whenever he's not writing about gadgets he miserably fails to stay away from them, although he desperately tries. But that's not necessarily a bad thing.
