Want to write for BGR?

Love gadgets? Are you the dedicated IT guy in your family? Have some writing experience? Dream about fondling the latest and greatest? Well, you’re in luck! We’re looking for a full-time editor (preferably on the East Coast) as well as a couple additional writers. If you’re interested, hit the jump for the necessary details!

  • Email us three sample posts that you feel as if you’d see appear on BGR — don’t worry, we won’t use them.
  • Tell us your favorite phones, gadgets, devices — whatever. We just want to get to know you. Kind of.
  • Please include a brief description of why you’d like to write for BGR as well as a resume if you have one.
  • Let us know how much time per week you have available to devote to this.
  • Don’t email us in attachments, we’ll instantly delete them. Please make sure everything is in the body of the email itself.
  • And finally, yes, of course both positions are paid positions.

If you’re applying for the editor position, please include that in the subject of the email message, and if you’re applying for a general writing position, please include that as well. You can send in your information to the following email address: jobs at boy genius report dot com.

Jonathan Geller founded Boy Genius Report, now known as BGR, in 2006. It became the biggest mobile news destination in the world by the end of 2009, and BGR was acquired by leading digital media company PMC in April 2010.

Jonathan is President of the newly formed BGR Media, LLC., and Editor-in-chief of the BGR website.

What started as a side project at the age of 16, quickly transpired into 24-hour days and nights of sharing exclusive and breaking news about the mobile communications industry. BGR now reaches up to 100 million readers a month through the website, syndication partners, and additional channels.
