Even more proof that the premium Galaxy S5 Prime is real

Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime

Samsung’s rumored Galaxy S5 Prime model looks more real than ever, even though the company is yet to fully acknowledge it. A version of the phone, believed to have model number SM-G906X (among others), has been spotted on Bluetooth SIG, a website belonging to the body that governs Bluetooth development and certification. Model number SM-G906L was listed on Bluetooth SIG this week, confirming this sub-family of Galaxy S5 handsets – the Galaxy S5 has model number SM-G900X.

Earlier leaks have detailed a SM-G906S Galaxy S5 model that would be sold in South Korea. An SM-G901 version of the Samsung handset may turn out to be the European Galaxy S5 Prime model, which could be available in blue, black, white and gold, according to @evleaks.

Samsung has denied the Prime version of the handset in the past, but could unveil it in the near future, if new reports are to be believed, to compete against the LG G3, which is already confirmed to feature a 2K display.

While the company is yet to confirm its first 2K handset, it did tell The Wall Street Journal that it plans to sell other Galaxy S5 variations this year, possibly hinting at the Prime and Active models that have been featured in recent leaks.
