Unannounced LG phone pictured with larger display and a design borrowed from Samsung

LG Optimus G Pro Specs

LG (066570) has found new life with its flagship Optimus G smartphone. The popular handset has been selling well across the globe and even spawned a larger and more powerful successor earlier this year for the Japanese market, known as the Optimus G Pro. It appears that LG isn’t done tweaking its Optimus G line of devices, however.

According to a purported spec sheet obtained by PhoneArenathe company is readying a new smartphone that appears strikingly similar to the Galaxy Note II. The device is equipped with a 5.5-inch full HD display, a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and a 13-megapixel camera. It also includes 2GB of RAM, 4G LTE connectivity, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD slot and a 3,140 mAh battery.

The smartphone, which oddly enough is also called the Optimus G Pro, is said to be launching in South Korea later this year. Mobile World Congress is just weeks away and we expect LG to unveil a number of new devices at the annual trade show. BGR will be on hand reporting live at the conference.
