Google has recently launched the Nexus 6, its best and biggest smartphone to date, but the device is also pretty expensive when purchased for full price, especially compared to previous Nexus models. Luckily, for budget Nexus device buyers, Google still has the more affordable Nexus 5 in stock, but that’s about to change in the future.

The company told TechRadar that Nexus 5 production has stopped when the publication asked about the status of the white and red versions of the handset — currently, only the black model is available for purchase in the Play Store.

A Google spokesperson said that customers should hurry and buy a new Nexus 5 as fast as possible. “Once hey are gone, they’re gone, so we’d suggest people get them while they can,” Google said.

Currently, both the 16GB and 32GB Nexus 5 versions can be purchased from the Play Store, though interested buyers should still be able to find used Nexus 5 units online on eBay and plenty of other sites.

For what it’s worth, Google’s 2013 flagship Android handset is compatible with Lollipop — in fact, Google has just released an Android 5.0.1 update for its Nexus handsets and tablets — and should offer a more than decent Android experience for some time to come.

UPDATE: Google has now told The Verge that the Nexus 5 will still be available to buy until at least the end of Q1 2015.
