The Nexus 6 is now even cheaper… but there’s a huge catch

U.S. Cellular Nexus 6 Price

Even though the Nexus 6 is more expensive than any of its predecessors, Google is betting on a different strategy to sell more Nexus smartphones this year, and that’s partnering up with various mobile operators around the world, including many U.S. carriers that can sell the handset for a subsidized price. Joining AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile is U.S. Cellular, which is currently taking orders for both the 32GB and 64GB versions of the handset, with both of them being priced cheaper than elsewhere.

The catch, of course, is that U.S. Cellular cheaper prices apply only to on-contract options. The 32GB Nexus 6 costs just $199.99 and the 64GB Nexus 6 is priced at $249.99, when purchased with new contracts, and both prices are $50 cheaper than similar offers available from AT&T and Sprint.

Buying an off-contract Nexus 6 from U.S. Cellular will cost you either $660 or $730, respectively, both more expensive options than Google’s currently advertised prices in the Play Store.

For what it’s worth, U.S. Cellular has both the Cloud White and Midnight Blue versions of the handset in stores, as you can see at the source links below, no matter what storage option you’d be choosing.
