Which carrier has the most loyal customers, AT&T or Verizon?

AT&T vs. Verizon Customer Loyalty

Whether you like it or not, if you want reliable service for your cell phone, you’re going to have to subscribe to one of the major wireless carriers. We all have issues with our carriers from time to time, whether its the cost of data or the lack of customer service, but many of us stick around anyway.

So which carrier has been retaining the most customers in recent months?

Verizon and AT&T are constantly in fierce competition when it comes to customer satisfaction, but more often than not, Verizon seems to come out on top. Earlier this year, Verizon won the RootMetrics “Overall Performance” award, edging out AT&T by just over two points on a one hundred point scale.

Taking the latest data from the Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), The Motley Fool reports that Verizon has won out once again when it comes to customer loyalty.

According to CIRP’s report, Verizon retained 89% of its subscribers during the quarter ending September, while AT&T retained 85% in the same time period. It’s another small margin of victory, but one that Verizon is sure to promote as often as it possibly can.
