With exactly one week to go until Samsung finally unveils its new Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ flagship smartphones, the anticipation is boiling over. Android fans have been buzzing for weeks, and an unrelenting rush of leaks has continued to fuel the fire each and every day. We’ve seen renders, we’ve seen photos, we’ve seen specs, we’ve seen remarkably impressive benchmark scores, and we’ve seen just about everything else you can imagine. While Samsung would have undoubtedly preferred to keep all of this under wraps until the new Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are unveiled next Wednesday, a new leak on Thursday morning might contain something Samsung really wishes no one saw: A design sketch and possible specs for the upcoming new Galaxy Note 8.

Many of the new features sound terrific, but the design on the new Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ is the star of the show this time around. The phones will feature a bold new design that stuffs much bigger displays into smaller smartphones by eliminating much of the dead space around the screens.

Of course, design is only part of the story here. Recently leaked benchmark test results suggest the S8 and S8+ are going to be the two most powerful smartphones the world has ever seen… by a big margin.

Everyone knows that Samsung’s new design will be further refined later this year when Samsung releases its next-generation Galaxy Note 8. Everyone also knows that the Note 8 will sport new features and even better performance than what we’re expecting from the S8 duo. Of course, knowing is one thing but seeing is another.

A new leak on Thursday morning could make some people think twice before dumping $800 or more into one of the new Galaxy S phones Samsung is getting ready to reveal on March 29th. The unconfirmed leak was posted to Slashleaks, and it seemingly shows a design sketch for the upcoming Galaxy Note 8. If the sketch is real, the Note 8 will feature an even more impressive design with a display that occupies an even larger portion of the phone’s face, as you can see in the sketch below.

Included alongside the sketch are purported Galaxy Note 8 specs that include a Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 9000-series processor depending on region, 6GB of RAM, up to 256GB of internal storage, and a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with either QHD+ (2K) or UHD (4K) resolution.

Though unconfirmed, it all sounds plausible. The only real question mark is the 256GB of storage, considering Samsung is moving away from different storage tiers in the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, instead offering a single option along with microSDXC support.
