If you’re angling to get one of Apple’s new MacBook Pro’s with the snazzy Touch Bar, you’ll probably want to head over to Apple’s online store ASAP. As it stands now, the estimated shipping time for Apple’s new MacBook Pros is 4-5 weeks out, which means launch-day inventory is now completely sold out. Immediately upon availability, Apple said that shipping times would be about 2-3 weeks. By the time Thursday evening rolled around, shipping times were pushed back to 3-4 weeks. And now some users may have to wait as many as 5 weeks before they can get their hands on Apple’s next-gen MacBook Pro.

DON’T MISS: We have some bad news about next year’s iPhone 8

Not surprisingly, Apple’s updated 13-inch MacBook Pro without the Touch Bar is available as early as this Monday. We of course don’t know what Apple’s supply situation looks like with respect to its flagship MacBook Pro models, but this early data suggests that demand is already quite high.

And with good reason, the new MacBook Pro design is one of the most intriguing things to come out of Apple in quite some time. Not only is it incredibly thin and impressively light, but the new Touch Bar OLED display could prove to be a game-changing feature. It remains to be seen if Apple will keep the Touch Bar exclusive to the MacBook Pro or if it will eventually filter down to Apple’s MacBook and, perhaps later on, down to the standalone keyboard that ships with the iMac.

And last but not least, Touch ID integration on the MacBook Pro will not only make online transactions safer and more convenient, it will also allow multiple users on the same machine to switch between varying user profiles based solely on their fingerprint.

Early hands-on impressions of Apple’s new MacBook Pros have been overwhelmingly positive and it’s only a matter of time before more in-depth reviews of Apple’s new notebooks begin making their way online.
