Rumored features and specifications of the Galaxy S6 have been leaking on a relatively consistent basis over the past few weeks, but the latest reveal could be one of the biggest yet. On Friday, Toptienmobiel.nl published what it claims is our first look at the prototype of Samsung’s next flagship smartphone.

FROM EARLIER: Samsung reportedly won’t get too daring with the Galaxy S6

The stickers on the top-right corner of the device indicate that this is a prototype model rather than the final version of the Galaxy S6. The phone isn’t expected to launch until March or April of 2015, which would explain why the device hasn’t been finalized quite yet.

Based on the most recent reports, the Galaxy S6 will feature a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and either a 16-megapixel or 20-megapixel rear camera. It has also been speculated that Samsung would ditch the physical home button on its next flagship, but the prototype image seems to indicate otherwise.

Providing this is a legitimate prototype, it seems to take more cues from the recently released Galaxy Alpha than the Galaxy S5, with its ultra-thin bezel and larger display. In fact, save for the Samsung logo and the Android buttons, this Galaxy S6 prototype could easily pass for an iPhone 6 at a glance.

We’re still skeptical as to whether or not this is a bona fide leak, but it’s all we have to go on at the moment.

UPDATE: A subsequent report is claiming that the image is fake.
