Steve Jobs tribute at Apple Store Hong Kong

Exclusive

There has been an outpouring of emotion ever since news broke that Steve Jobs passed away on Wednesday. One BGR reader sent us in some photos of the new Apple Store in the ifc mall in Hong Kong. The inside of the front wall of the store is covered in Post-its with notes remembering Steve Jobs, and it’s nothing short of amazing. “It’s like a huge piece of art,” Nick wrote to us in his email. Indeed it is. Check out the rest of the photos in the gallery, and you can even zoom in on the photos to read some of the notes.

Thanks, Nick Lynch!

The question now is: they can’t leave the Apple Store covered in Post-It Notes forever, what’s going to happen to them?

    • IamEzio

Maybe collect them  all  and give to the family ?

        Excellent.

    • Sinofue

Ummm, throw them in the trash when everybody comes to their senses?

So I guess you’ll be siding with the machines when the robopocalypse commences?

Yes ill be siding with Siri seeing she will know everything about me come the 4S release

the more we advance technologically the more we resist change socially. I think i’ll be siding with the machines myself!

@facebook-100000812460847:disqus , But Siri said she’s just our humble assistant… how could it be that she would take over the… *robot arm grabs me from behind and yanks me into the air to drop me into the human-prison-pod 60ft in the air atop the 3 legged insect-like robot* ahhhhhhhhh!!!!! (my scream fading into silence as i am thrown amongst the other humans)

        …crap.

Wow, a true Van Gogh work of art. I say we commission the piece for exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art!

With some of the really completely dumb things supposedly called ART, this would be far better.

is that a real tribute or a fake tribute at a real store or a fake store?

Alright I understand it’s very sad he passed away. But, the world has to fucking go on. This is crazy, people just move on. Every post does not have to be about Apple now. It’s pathetic that the reveal of the new Nexus even got postponed because of this.

If I spent that much money on something, I would want to make myself feel better in any way possible. Wouldn’t you?

    • http://www.allegrotechie.blogspot.com Allegrotechie

He is the reason the Nexus prime is coming out

    • Anonymous

Yes it is ridiculous that they held off the release of the 10th android os phone of the month to pay respects to a legend and in some way the reason why there are modern day smartphones like the nexus. But you’re right its pathetic. Huh

GOD BLESS YOU STEVE AND MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND MAY OUR GOOD LORD CREATE ANOTHER GENIUS LIKE YOU

  • Anonymous

how about you guys do a tribute to steve jobs and stop posting about his passing?> i mean seriously. Move on.

Somehow i think technology will continue advancing at a remarkable pace. While he was a remarkable specimen- all he really did is applefy what was already in the market. He did not INVENT the smartphone or the tablet market you know.

    • Stewdale

      No he reinvented them

I think Steve would have come up (or hired someone to come up) with a better sollution than the paper mess that are those thousand post-its.

Remember all those fake Apple Stores in China? Do you think people left fake notes there???

BGR grow the hell up. ‘Exclusive’ the mans dead, what are trying to get page views by the stupid EXCLUSIVE LOOK AT US’ tag

    • http://www.pixelreason.com PixelReason

yeah, the EXCLUSIVE and BREAKING tags have really lost their value on this site. BGR used to have a lot more and better exclusives and breakings. kind of sad.

  • James Krause

The reality is this picture is pretty cool.  I hope when I go so many people have good things to say about me.  The guy was a genius of our time.  I hope more people like Steve step up and push the limits.

i’ve written up a post-it note for you, friend. it says nice things. you cannot know what it says until you are gone though.

  • Madeinmanhattan

Definitely nothing else to report on. Only apple news.

    • Bringit

No, they report on the almost daily release of Crapdroid phones as well.  It just that no one cares or posts in those threads.

      • Anonymous

and no one really cares what a Troll like you has to say

      • Bringit

        Clearly you do.

I can understand how many feel this is merely another passing.  Steve Jobs, however, will be remembered as a man who not only overcame adversity and setbacks to reach the top of his trade, but revolutionized it.  I don’t personally have an iPhone, and I am not what you would call a person at the cutting edge of today’s technology market, but I do own apple products and am amazed at the way it has transitioned numerous demographics and nations into the digital age.  He brought a human element to the technology world, and will be remembered as such: a true humanist into today’s bustling information-oriented world.
