Apple releases OS X Lion 10.7.1

Software

Apple on Tuesday released OS X Lion 10.7.1 to Mac users with the following changes listed:

The 10.7.1 update is recommended for all users running OS X Lion and includes general operating system fixes that enhance the stability and compatibility of your Mac, including fixes that:

  • Address an issue that may cause the system to become unresponsive when playing a video in Safari
  • Resolve an issue that may cause system audio to stop working when using HDMI or optical audio out
  • Improve the reliability of Wi-Fi connections
  • Resolve an issue that prevents transfer of your data, settings, and compatible applications to a new Mac running OS X Lion

For detailed information on this update, please visit this website: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4764.

The new update is available immediately via OS X’s software update utility. Hopefully there are also a few more changes hidden under the hood so we can start unchecking a few boxes in Lion Tweaks.

I have nonstop issues on my DROID 3, DROID Thunderbolt 4G LTE, and DROID Charge.  Maybe it’s just the OS?

If you’re having issues with Lion on your phone, then yeah… it’s probably the OS.

On my Macbook, this update fixed the issue with WiFi not always reconnecting after waking from sleep.
That one annoyed the hell out of me.

I’ve upgraded my iMac expecting some bugs that people complain about. I work on it all day and everything is super. I expected my MySQL settings or something to be all messed up but it’s all good. So far no problems at all, no complaints. That’s right, a commenter without a complaint! Believe it!

I also  upgraded my iMac and have no complaints.  Everything is working fine, and only need printer drivers from HP to fix the only problems I have.

E-mail Attachments are broken in 10.7 and in some cases the entire body of an email is missing especially a copy and paste one mac to windows users email is totally screwed! people simply do not get pictures in email attachments from lion or word files! for shit sakeI have had multiple instances with this.

Actually I have been having this problem with E-Mail attachments for some time, and it has nothing to do with LION.  Some time back Microsoft had an update, and ever since some of my larger customers running on a PC system have been unable to “see” the contents of the attachment.  The Paperclip is there, but they cannot see the contents.  Their Tech support staff has been trying to figure it out, and it appears to have something to do with server security.  This problem continues as of yesterday, when I had to fax copy of document.

Hope this fixes the connection issues I have with Wireless N on 5 GHz. Other than that I love OSX Lion so far, once I got used to the gestures of course.

    wifi is still dropping!!

    Yeah, looks like crap.

Just got home and installed the update.  My 5GHz Wireless N is working great… Yay! Less clutter on the 2.4 GHz channel now.

I love it when people say ” Apple only release’s things once a year because they don’t want to release buggy stuff” To this I say “That its impossible not to release buggy stuff, you’r just blinded by the bright Apple logo on it dumbass”

Installed on my MacBook Pro (8,2) and my upgraded Mac Mini (1,1) (upgraded to a T7200 2.0Ghz C2D) without issue.
